Head of sTARTUp Lab Maret Ahonen says that over the years, more and more student teams want to compete in Kaleidoskoop because it’s a great chance for them to stand out in the startup world with their awesome and innovative idea. In addition, the best teams get to pitch at the sTARTUp Day.
Over the years, Kaleidoskoop has been a great starting point for many student teams who are now functioning companies. The winner of the last Kaleidoskoop was team S-Kub, who make solid shampoo cubes. The best STARTER team in 2019, CommuniCare, is creating a network of volunteers all over Estonia to provide companions and communication partners for the elderly living in nursing homes. The winner in the 2019 autumn season, student company Münt produces environmentally friendly toothpaste tablets.
The event is funded by the European Social Fund and EIT Health.

The new STARTERtartu season started with 14 innovative ideas
The new STARTERtartu season started on 16.02. with the Idea Hackathon. During four hours, the participants could share their flying thoughts with each other. The moderator of the event was Harald Lepisk, who is an inspirational speaker and our pitching teacher. Harald told us that you have to listen to your target group and do one thing great rather than trying to solve all problems at once.
