This is your chance to start developing your own business.  Idea Hackathon that starts a new semester of business ideas development programme STARTERtartu.
Many great ideas like CommuniCare, Sorter, Decomer Technologies, SoulCare etc. have started from Idea Hackathon. Now it is your chance. At the hackathon we will help you generate your own ideas. You also can pitch your ideas, hear other students' ideas, find teammates, join a team, hear inspiring speeches on different areas of life and future trends and join the idea development programme STARTERtartu. It’s a place to unleash your creativity and find inspiration.

How to generate ideas? How to recognize good ideas? How to test ideas? What to do with an idea? Come to Idea Hackathon to find new ideas and we will help you to turn ideas into reality!


All students from all fields of study and recent graduates of all schools are welcome to join the event to pitch their startup or project ideas or to join teams!

Be sure to come to Idea Hackathon 

✅ If you have an idea that could change the world - even a little bit - we will help you to develop and test the idea, find teammates, take first steps and turn them into reality!
✅ If you don't have an idea then you can find the idea that interests you! Simply show up, listen to different pitches and join the team that you like the best!

The most important thing is that you would have an interest in entrepreneurship! The idea doesn't need to be a startup idea, it can be a project or NGO idea as well! Through STARTERtartu programme workshops you will learn how to develop your idea, how to pitch at competitions and how to bring it to the market.

21st-century world is facing numerous problems such as: population aging, health challenges, climate change etc. At the same time technologies are shaping our lives and impossible becomes possible faster than ever.

This time the Idea Hackathon is part of the Delta X Ideas Festival what brings together students who what to create something!  The event takes place at UT Delta Centre, room 1037.

16:00  Delta X Ideas Festival starts with the introduction of the Delta X and with student stories on "why a successful project needs people from different fields". 

17:00  Hackathon start:  Inspirational speeches, introduction to the different fields(greet, meet, inspire)

18:20  Idea fair and team-up

19:35  Talk: "How to start idea validation?"

19:50   Validate your idea - go out and google

After Idea Hackathon the STARTERtartu programme continues with hands-on workshops led by field experts and true practitioners. The whole STARTERtartu programme ends with students business competition Kaleidoskoop at sTARTUp Day
